Upcycling with Block Printing

Hand-carved woodblocks from India have been used to print on fabrics for centuries.In this workshop, suitable for complete beginners, Michele will take you through the process of how to create a successful print.
You will learn the fundamentals of block printing, how to create a tiled pattern, test print on fabric scraps, and finally print on your chosen item.
When your first layer is completely dry after lunch, you will learn how you can take your block printing to the next level with layered shadow printing.
Block printing is a great way to easily up-cycle T-shirts or household items such as cotton napkins that may be looking drab, or have become stained or faded.Alternatively you can print on brand new textiles.
Course fee includes all materials, lunch, drinks, and homemade treats.
